My guerrilla knit group, The Eugene Knotty Knitters did our springtime yarn bomb this morning. April Showers, Knit Flowers. Check it out if you’re local. 15th and Orchard on the UO Campus. You can see more photos on our facebook or flickr page.
Today, my fiber arts group helped celebrate International Yarn Bombing Day. We made flowers for our brand new Little Free Library in Acorn Park, a bouquet of roses door cozy for the Eugene Saturday Market and we hid nearly 75 little trinkets in our public library for patrons to find. It’s pretty cool. Our blog, our flickr, our facebook page.
This year’s yarn bomb- a spiderweb on some driftwood.
My knitting group rents a house on the Oregon Coast every year to knit but mostly to drink a lot of booze. Last year I knit a yarn bomb for the very obvious sign pointing to the coast. When I showed up this weekend, it was still there!!!! 13 months! Must be some sort of yarn bomb record?!
I yarn bombed some dinosaurs.
