I finished my test knit for Leethal. Took the photos at the Woodburn Tulip Festival. Shawl was knit with Madeline Tosh and you can read my notes on my Ravelry project page.
I’m not trying to turn my blog into a knitting blog or anything, but this is what happens when you’re holed up for a few days trying to get over being sick. You have all the time in the world to knit! A friend of mine handspun this stunning yarn and I fell hard for it. I bought it from her ages ago and just now found a project for it. The lace on this shawl is supposed to look like ginkgo leaves. Pretty! You can see more photos and read more details on my Ravelry page. I still have about 100 yards of this yarn left so I’m knitting a quick lace scarf with it- I’ll post pictures of that when I’m done.
Dansko just came out with a knitted shoe. NEED!
Also, is it bad that I can tell you what yarn they used for their design?
Scarf I just finished knitting from yarn that I handspun. It’s a mulberry silk/merino wool blend from Blue Moon Fiber Arts. And it’s gorgeous.
So, this happened too. I made Katie a burger bag for her birthday. Junk food bags are in my future. I’m thinking a pizza one next. Read more on my blog.
Remember that yarn my kiddos dyed with Kool Aid out in the sunshine? I finished knitting their hats with their yarn. Read more on my Ravelry page.
Finished my Aquaphobia Socks for Ravellenic Games on Ravelry! P.S. I dyed that yarn with food coloring!
I dyed this yarn with food coloring and finally found a sock pattern that really shows off the colors. Aquaphobia socks by Crystal Flanagan.
Never dyed yarn with Kool Aid? I just wrote out this super simple, easy, 4 step process on how it’s done. Kool Aid Yarn Dyeing 101.
