My husband and I at the S.L.U.G. Queen holiday party I threw. Photos by Melissa Mankins at Paper Moon Photo Studio.
hahahaha! It’s wild, isn’t it??? I can’t believe I’m on the cover of the Eugene Weekly. This morning when I grocery shopping, the cashiers were calling me Your Highness and getting me to sign their copy. So surreal. Hope to see you at the Eugene Celebration!
Last night was the Slug Queen Pageant and I won!!! I slimed the competition! Eugene’s 30th Slug Queen is Sadie Slimy Stitches!
Tomorrow is the SLUG Queen competition and coronation!!! I wrote up a little post about my costume. Lots of local artists and craftiness abounds. Come support me- Sadie Slimy Stitches!!

Remember that yarn I dyed with Kool Aid? Look what I made! A purse to match my Slug Queen costume. See more notes on my Ravelry page.
I get my shoes today!!! My friend Candice custom painted these Vans for me to match my Slug Queen costume. So awesome!

It’s me!!!! This is me!!!!! Melissa took an amazing photo! I can’t wait to see the rest. I want to be Slug Queen so badly!! Be there Friday, August 10th to cheer me on!
Yes!!! I’ve been campaigning since April of last year. I want to win so bad! I’ve hand knit my gown, it’s going to be amazing. Be there to cheer me on! Friday, August 10th at the Saturday Market blocks.
For those who aren’t from Eugene, Oregon, read more about the Slug Queen here. It’s a weird sort-of but not really beauty pageant where the Queens promote Eugene and it’s art.
Sneak peek of my gown:

It’s also what I knit my parasol for.
Alli made me the best leggings ever! They’re specifically for my Slug Queen competition in August but I want to wear them now! Super sparkly, holographic, polka dotted, ruffled lime and metallic green leggings! Allihalla forever.
P.S. There’s enough fabric for a swimsuit so prepare for another photo when it’s done.
