My guerrilla knit group, The Eugene Knotty Knitters did our springtime yarn bomb this morning. April Showers, Knit Flowers. Check it out if you’re local. 15th and Orchard on the UO Campus. You can see more photos on our facebook or flickr page.
Cute Catch! Embroidery piece I made for Fuster Cluck Farm. Vintage pattern that I found online. #crafts #diy #embroidery #vintage #chickens
I had some of this leftover yarn that I dyed with Kool Aid (I call it Bird of Paradise) and wasn’t sure what to do with it. I ended up striping it with some soft grey to make this hat by Leethal. To add more flair to it I needle felted hearts over the ears. Because of the aviator style of the hat and the red hearts I call this hat my Amelia EarHEART hat.
I finished my test knit for Leethal. Took the photos at the Woodburn Tulip Festival. Shawl was knit with Madeline Tosh and you can read my notes on my Ravelry project page.
Every year a local gift shop has a wacky Easter bonnet contest. This is my first year entering. Knitted and crocheted buunnies, chicks, hatching eggs, flowers and a slug or two. Here’s to hoping I win!
I’m not trying to turn my blog into a knitting blog or anything, but this is what happens when you’re holed up for a few days trying to get over being sick. You have all the time in the world to knit! A friend of mine handspun this stunning yarn and I fell hard for it. I bought it from her ages ago and just now found a project for it. The lace on this shawl is supposed to look like ginkgo leaves. Pretty! You can see more photos and read more details on my Ravelry page. I still have about 100 yards of this yarn left so I’m knitting a quick lace scarf with it- I’ll post pictures of that when I’m done.
I finished my Strawberry Shortcake mitts! I even painted my nails to match. Read more about my knitting on my Ravelry page.
I’m not new to crafting pop culture, did you see my ALOT? But seriously, Grumpy Cat is my spirit animal and I couldn’t resist embroidering her.
I finished knitting all the little Christmas stockings to go with my handmade advent calender! Read more on my knitting blog.
